About us

THE TRANSLATORS CAFE is a journalism initiative inviting bloggers and writers and experienced journalists to contribute in the creation of a news portal, in an attempt at settings new standards for free journalism. We blog live from Puerto Montt, Chile.

As a private collective and user-driven initiative, The service is founded on an idealistic basis, with intentions to establish free journalism as a factor to count on in a wordlwide media perspective.

Foreign writers and bloggers are invited to contribute their views on topics related to translation, conference interpreting, linguistics, teaching of languages, literature and more.

Top stories from all countries are presented at the front of THE TRANSLATORS CAFE. Also, very interesting articles are in English, in order to reach an international audience.
